On Jan. 24, we joined Orlando Health, the city of Ocoee, and numerous community partners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate a new Wellness Walking Path at Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital!

The project was a collaborative effort between Orlando Health, the West Orange Healthcare District and the Foundation for a Healthier West Orange. The paved one-mile path runs through Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital, Old Winter Garden Road, Hempel Avenue, and the Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute.

“This path represents more than just a physical space,” says Tracy Swanson, CEO of the Foundation for a Healthier West Orange. “It’s a testament to our community’s commitment to health, wellness, and collaboration.”

Throughout the path are Healthy West Orange-themed signs with wellbeing activities and benches. It is open to the healthcare team members and the community. Maps are posted and available at the visitor’s desk inside the hospital.
