Meet Our New Director of Healthy West Orange

Join us in welcoming Krista Carter to the Foundation as our new Director of Healthy West Orange!

In this role, Krista will be responsible for the daily leadership and coordination of all activities for the Healthy West Orange movement, including the resource navigation platform HUBB. She will also oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing and communications, community engagement, and educational programs to improve the overall health of residents in West Orange.

“We are thrilled to welcome Krista to the Foundation team,” shared Tracy Swanson, CEO of the Foundation for a Healthier West Orange. “As a long-time resident and fierce advocate for our community, we know Krista will continue to elevate the impact of the Healthy West Orange movement.”

Krista most recently served as the executive communications manager at IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry. Previously, she spent more than two decades with the West Orange Chamber. As Vice President, she worked alongside community leaders and local governments to promote economic growth, improve quality of life, and make West Orange a hub of opportunity. During her tenure, the organization was named Chamber of the Year in the state of Florida for three separate years.

An active community volunteer, Krista serves on the board of directors for the Oakland Nature Preserve and Friends of Lake Apopka and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Winter Garden.
