Groundbreaking at Tucker Ranch Paves Way for Holistic Community Wellness Park
We were so glad to join the City of Winter Garden for the historic groundbreaking of the second phase of Tucker Ranch Park and Nature Preserve.
Set to become the nation’s first comprehensive physical and mental wellness park, four pillars guide the park and its mission: food and nutrition, fitness and rehabilitation, the natural environment, and mental health. Tucker Ranch will feature:
- A 5,000-square-foot retreat center,
- Teaching and working farm,
- An outdoor demonstration kitchen,
- A greenhouse and gardens,
- And miles of hiking and fitness trails
The development of Tucker Ranch has been a collaborative effort. The West Orange Healthcare District provided an initial $6 million grant before its dissolution, while the City of Winter Garden committed significant additional funding. The Foundation for a Healthier West Orange is now managing the District’s initial funding and has played a key role in driving the project forward.
Phase two is set to be completed in two years. Upon completion, elements of nature will integrate with holistic health resources to provide a community space rooted in wellness and betterment.
